Ashton Poage

Ashton Poage is a self-published fantasy author with a background rooted in performance, narrative craft, and real-world experience. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Arkansas, where he focused on playwriting and scriptwriting, acted in multiple stage productions, and wrote and directed his own original play, “Something Smells Fishy”.

Following college, Ashton continued pursuing creative work through talent agencies as both a model and actor. His path eventually led him into a career as a Firefighter Paramedic, where the intensity, realism, and human emotion of the job began to shape his writing voice. Those experiences bring authenticity, urgency, and grounded dialogue into his storytelling.

He later created EightySix Records, a personal platform built to showcase his writing portfolio and creative work. Through this, Ashton debuted his first novel, Gravecall, set within the expansive world of the Seriene Corpus—a dark fantasy universe inspired by works such as The Inheritance Cycle, The Stormlight Archive, The Elder Scrolls, and Game of Thrones.

Today, EightySix Records has grown beyond a portfolio into a creative service platform, where Ashton offers his skills as a writer to individuals and businesses alike. From blogs and newsletters to full-scale ghostwriting projects, his goal is to tell compelling stories that connect, resonate, and leave a lasting impact.
